Giving a voice to the unspoken. Making the invisible visible. Connecting hearts through visuals. Because visuals are truly borderless.

About

I am a graphic recorder for nearly 10 years.

I first discovered the concept of graphic recording through my boss at a previous company. At the time, I was working for a pharmaceutical company, and I began to realize how important communication is between patients and their families, healthcare professionals, and the people who support them.

I believe that visualization can make complex ideas, experiences, and emotions easier to understand—and, sometimes, easier to remember. That realization inspired me to start using graphic recording in healthcare.

Since then, healthcare has become my primary field. At the same time, I have become deeply interested in diversity, inclusion, and creating spaces where different voices and perspectives can be seen and heard.

My journey also expanded beyond Japan. After receiving a scholarship from Neuland, I had the wonderful opportunity to connect with the International Forum of Visual Practitioners (IFVP). Meeting visual practitioners from around the world showed me that graphic recording is truly a global language.

At the IFVP conference at Montclair State University, I met so many inspiring people. Many of them have become close friends, and we continue to exchange ideas about how we can make graphic recording more meaningful, impactful, and effective.

Through these experiences, I became involved with the IFVP Board and am now serving on the Board of Directors.

I am still learning what it means to contribute as a board member, but I am grateful for this opportunity, and I will continue to learn, connect, and do my best to contribute to our global visual community.

Please contact me if you are interested in my works, fields and anything you want to ask!

I believe visuals are truly borderless.

They can cross languages, cultures, and even words—

and connect people through what we see, feel, and remember.
