About

Yen Azzaro is a graphic recorder and illustrator based out of southeast Michigan. She finished her First Year Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Michigan Stamps School of Art & Design. From 2006-11 she was director of Madron Gallery in Chicago, curating and dealing American works of art (late 19th to early 20th cen.) She has curated numerous academic exhibits and produced art happenings, helping her to understand the importance of an authentic and exciting experience. Her love of art history and practice in graphic design informs her compositions while graphic recording.

Yen is sought for her highly comprehensive capturing of topics, melding typography with layered illustrative motifs throughout each surface. She has captured ideas for clients such as Ford Motor Co., Univeristy of Michigan, The Kresge Foundation, Domino's Pizza, and Duo Security. She serves the Ann Arbor and Detroit markets but is available for travel worldwide. In her free time, she loves to try new foods and hoard art supplies.
