About

Working with people and organisations, their relationships, what motivates them, and supporting them personally and professionally, has been the main focus of my professional and personal activity.

My background qualification was a degree in Business and Economic Sciences from the University of Deusto (1997). At the beginning of my career, between 1997 and 2000, I was the coordinator for Gipuzkoa del Euskadiko Gazteriaren Kontseilua (the Basque Youth Council) from 1998-2000, an organisation of the Basque Government governed by public law, which brings together organisations promoting public policy for young people.

My training, along with my own personal concerns, took me to Mexico, where, between 2000 and 2003 I coordinated the Human Resources department in IPODERAC, in Puebla, Mexico, an organisation that works to reintegrate street children. (www.ipoderac.org.mx/).  During this period I combined my professional activity with teaching at the Iberoamerican University in Puebla, Mexico (between 2000 and 2002). In this time I was able to undergo training with the Management of Non-Profit Organisations Certification programme at the University of Moterrey, the World Bank Institute and the CEMEFI (Mexican Centre for Philanthropy) in Puebla, Mexico. Upon my return from Mexico, I obtained a Master’s in Cooperation in Development from the University of the Basque Country (2003), and between 2003-2015 I was coordinator of the International Cooperation department of the ALBOAN Foundation (2003-2015). During this time, I supplemented my professional development with training in Leadership and Social Innovation at the ESADE/Institute for Social Innovation (2001) and Ignatian Spirituality and Social Leadership (2008-2010) and I teach "Tnternational Trade and Developing countries" course at Deusto University (2003-2008).

In 2011 I came up with the idea for Muxote Potolo Bat. During the first few years I combined both activities side by side. The company (Muxote Potolo Bat SL) was officially created in 2012. As a result of that activity, I had the opportunity to be a guest researcher at the School of Social Work of Boston College (2013), where I discovered the potential of #Visual Thinking when working with organisations, companies and communities (the work that I had been doing up until that point) with visual language (the activity that was being developed within the company that had just been created, MPB, SL).  As a result of that time, in conjunction with Fernando Vidal, I wrote the book Pensamiento Visual, Murales para innovar (published by Mensajero 2015).

Since 2012 on a part-time basis, and since December 2015 full time, I have been dedicating my time and energy to my company (www.muxotepotolobat.com), which specialises in Design, Communication (products and services), and visual facilitation (Visual Thinking+Coaching of teams).  My main activity involves the strategic direction and management of the company, putting a special focus on the increasing development in the field of #VisualThinking, offering strategic consultancy services, team coaching and Graphic Facilitation (Eye-Kontac). I also offer in-company and open-access presentations and courses to activate our Visual Language in teamwork and in effective and affective communication. Without a doubt, this is what motivates me, and I feel that it is my vocation.

This is why I recently became certified in Team Coaching (EMANA 2016), Advanced Team Coaching (2018) and Systemic Support in Complex Organisations (NORGARA 2016) which allows me to provide better support to organisations who require our services. I subsequently trained as a Consultant in Cultural Transformation Tools with the Barret Values Centre (2017), where I now participate as collaborator alongside Equlia. Alongside that I formed The Lab with Brandy Agerbeck and I collaborated with Ole Qvist-Sørensen from biggerpicture.dk, among others.

I currently offer open trainings  in Bilbao and in Barcelona and online trainnings in collaboration with Emana, bringing the work of #VisualThinking together with the work with people, teams and organisations; as well as the possibility of rolling out #LenguajeVisual (visual language) in-company to develop effective communication and future strategic thinking,  and strengthen teams that are close-knit, motivated and more efficient.
