Her work as a graphic recorder has been used to support conversations on organizational and business strategy, visioning, sales,
clean energy, and women’s leadership.
A graduate of Eugene Lang College, The New School, Melanie holds an interdisciplinary degree in cultural studies and visual art. She writes and plays American and Brasilian folk music, and watercolors to better see the world.
"Creative, responsive, dedicated, flexible, joyful, and able to deeply listen to the collective intelligence as it emerges,
Melanie created three visuals which are *the* most valuable artifacts I could imagine...It was a pleasure to work with
Melanie and I would happily hire her again in a heartbeat.”
- Dave Shaw, UC Santa Cruz and Regenerative Design Institute
“I’ve worked with graphic recorders over many years, because they make an invaluable contribution to my
presentations. Years later, I can look at their depiction of what I’ve said and it all comes back, and I know this
is how participants also are able to recall the essence of what I spoke...Melanie has that necessary but rare
combination of being able to listen deeply, excerpt the key points, and then quickly translate that into
images...I recommend her without reservation.
