Some special preparation before the launch of OLS Online Learning Series!

Hello friends! We hope you are doing really well, all things considered!
Nope! We will not talk about “the” global topic everyone is talking about these days…

Today we would like to get you ready for the first session of OLS, the Online Learning Series hosted by the Board of Directors of the IFVP.
This amazing learning opportunity was designed for you, so you can continue developing and polishing your skills.

For those of you who participate in the Live Zoom session you will see four main characters shining: You, The Presenter, Zoom and The Facilitator.
Let us help you understand why each one is important!

You: The OLS session would not be possible without you! This is for you! By the way, as of March 21st, the first OLS session has over 250 people pre-registered. We do not want you to look “wrong” in front of so many people, IFVP Members and Non-Members. Simply, because your next customer might be sitting next to you! Virtually, of course. Therefore, we encourage all of you to learn from Ben Crothers (Australia, creator of Presto Sketchnoting) which are the 5 Ways to Suck at Videoconferencing, and – please, please – follow Ben´s tips!

The Presenter: Well, well, well, they will have a tough job! Show their skills, communicate in great style, make sure they do their tricks well, answer your questions, deal with their nerves, all of that in front of 250 souls! But, hey, our Visual Practitioners are well seasoned and have  lots of experience, so no worries here.Terry Laban will launch the OLS project on March 30 at 2PM NEW YORK CITY time and he will be teaching us how be better at Drawing People! If you have not registered, you can do it here.

The Facilitator: To make the presenters' lives easier, in each session one or two members of the IFVP Board of Directors will open and close the session and will be facilitating the Q and A moment. We know it is impossible for our Presenters to answer 250 questions, so – please – we hope you understand if your question has not been addressed.

Zoom: For reasons well known around the world, Zoom has become the most used, loved, grabbed, discussed, mentioned and adored app during the past few weeks. And it is very easy to use. But, in the unlikely event that you are not familiar with its full functionality, do not panic! Chrissie Bonner, from Philadelphia, creator of Illustrating Progress has created the stunning one page Zoom visual-tutorial that illustrates these words, with everything you need to know!

So, take you time to get yourselves ready, grab your favorite writing tools and we will see you all on March 30, at 2PM New York City Time for the World Premiere of OLS – Online Learning Series!
