IFVP Baby Update

A few thoughts to leading into 2019.

  1. Looks can be deceiving. As visually oriented folks it often feels like what you see is what you get. Turns out, looks aren't everything and things often appear worse than they are in reality. Even when things are really "bad', us humans–especially the baby kind–are incredibly resilient and strong. Faith is about leaning in to a belief beyond "evidence." Ours has certainly been tested.

  2. Love is the best medicine. During this experience we met a lot of doctors and nurses, seen lots of tests, technology, and methods. Still, with all that expertise and equipment a great deal of uncertainty remains. The only guarantee we were given is this: the greatest determining factor for the best possible outcome is a loving family. We are so blessed to have–and be–that.

  3. Speaking of family...COMMUNITY. I've always been a believer in community, but now I have a next level appreciation. From prayer circles, to dropping off meals, to well-wishing messages at just the right time, to a president whose workload is already oversaturated but says, "It's OK...I understand...we got this," I, we are so grateful for all who have interceded on our behalf.

That's all I wanted to say for now. Plus I know you're really here for the BONUS BABY PIC! ;) I Love you!
