Mara Callaert is a creative businesswoman, passionate about communication and change.
After 7 years of work experience in the consulting world, she decided to focus on her core skills: communication, facilitation and visualization. And she founded Visuality in 2014. With her background as an engineer and her sparkling personality, Mara gives the company a unique approach where pragmatism, analytical thinking, creativity and empathy are key. In its first business year, Visuality already worked and delivered for clients such as Nike, Bioplanet and VEA (Flemish Energy Agency).
From 2007 to 2012, Mara worked at Futureproofed, a strategic consultancy. As a partner, she both managed the company and led several key projects, including business innovation trajectories for leading companies in Belgium (such as Colruyt, Nike, Tessenderlo Group, Van Marcke, ... ). Before Futureproofed she worked for a year as a junior art director ‘in DKO (part of Groupe K). She was responsible for the development of a materials library, site monitoring for different lofts, and design of a showroom.
Mara began her engineering studies in GroupT in Leuven in 2001 and finished in PIH Kortrijk in 2006, where she specialized in industrial design and eco-design. She has a Master of Industrial Design. Throughout her professional career, she continued to follow trainings on leadership & coaching, effective communication (NLP), change management and graphic facilitation.
