At this conference (mid-October 2001), had anybody figured out
how do deal with the first recession in ten years compounded
by the horror of Sept 11th?
Not really. So we proceeded, like rescue workers in New York
to sort out the debris; and look to what we do best in a radically
changed world. On Saturday afternoon a number of people met
outdoors to start the discussion.
Then, to close the conference, everyone gathered around to ask:
What is our role? What do we offer? How do we market ourselves?
We are all so different that there is no one best strategy.
But, our charts work as well for us as they do for our clients.

which to choose your own particular direction.
