Thanks for taking the time to read my introduction. With a background in painting, art direction, journalism, and simultaneous interpreting, I've recently joined the two halves of my brain in doing visual facilitation for both individuals and groups in coaching, not-for-profit, and corporate environments.
I use both mind-mapping and visual metaphor-based techniques to create hand-drawn/painted and Photoshop-enhanced visual maps that create a concrete record of evanescent events such as meetings, discussions, brainstorming sessions, and seminars. My previous experience as art director and interpreter has exposed me to a wide variety of business and technical environments and honed my ability to quickly understand and record verbal events. My long-standing artistic practice has provided me with the tools to turn my client's collective reality into a visually exciting and clear record to enable a group of people to actually see the work they're doing take form before their eyes. After doing graphic recording of an event, I often use Photoshop to digitally enhance our result for greater impact based on careful use of color as a tool for increased clarity and emotional content.
I've also developed collage-based approaches to help clients find a highly personal yet consistent and communicative visual identity in their approach to building a website and creating a presence in today's ubiquitous world of social media. In addition to graphic facilitation and recording, I also teach mind-mapping techniques, hand- and software-based, to adults in many contexts and children. I also create artworks in two and three dimensions on a commission basis for community public art projects and corporate clients.
I'm based in Paris, France, and have considerable experience working in polycultural environments.
