Graphic Facilitator Paula Hansen combines business knowledge, artistic skill, a well-honed capacity to listen, and a wealth of facilitation experience to infuse vitality, effectiveness and creativity into meetings of all kinds.
Paula creates colorful large-scale visual charts, using words and pictures, to capture meeting content, in the moment, as it is happening. This creates a shared group visual memory and helps participants learn, encourages participation and stimulates creative thinking. Seeing their ideas represented visually helps people grasp complex concepts and processes with greater clarity and ease.
Paula brings unique qualifications to her work as a graphic facilitator, including a strong "right brain-left brain" balance. She holds a BA in Math and Art as well as Masters of Fine Arts degree.
Paula also worked for twenty years in the IT field as a systems analyst and project manager for Booz, Allen and Hamilton, IBM and Siemens. She understands the business environment. Her analytical skills enhance her ability to grasp the structure of what is being communicated and pull out key concepts and connections.
Paula has been trained in graphic recording and graphic facilitation at The Grove Consultants International in San Francisco, the leaders in the field, where she worked for six years and is currently an Associate. In addition, she is an experienced facilitator and workshop leader.
Paula has worked with a variety of organizations, all over the world, including Ernst & Young, MicroSoft, Hewlitt Packard, Santa Clara University ,Sun MicroSystems, MercyCorps, Monitor Consulting, PriceWaterhouse Consulting
Accenture Consulting, the Danish Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs and the Raytheon Corporation.
Paula is passionate about the extra spark of energy and understanding that she sees come in to meetings through graphic facilitation.
