Introduction

Your group brings the important conversation, I bring the visual thinking! The result is effective communication that moves your group forward. I work with corporate, government and non-profit organizations as a graphic facilitator or as a graphic recorder.

Graphic Facilitation
I organize your group’s complex thinking visually to foster rich dialogue and achieve meeting goals. I lead the meeting process, listen intently, extract key content and depict the groups’ ideas on wall-sized templates or sheets of paper (using words, icons, images, visual metaphors and color).

The charts created allow people to see what they mean and talk about their thoughts directly. This provides a platform for brainstorming, analyzing and aligning viewpoints. Through dialogue in the co-creation of meaningful visuals, the group advances.

Graphic facilitation works particularly well with strategic visioning. Trained in the Grove’s Strategic Visioning Process (a 1-2 day process guided by a series of templates and activities), I literally draw out your group’s best thinking, helping people better understand one another and allowing for decisions to be made from a big picture perspective.

Graphic Recording
I help presenters/facilitators make communication at their events visible, meaningful and actionable. Working in tandem with the speaker, I position myself off to the side like a silent fly on the wall. I listen to extract key content and meaning, organize main ideas and themes on the spot and depict them. The group then has a visual record (which is often produced into a convenient electronic takeaway summary) that captures words, feelings and insights that would otherwise have floated off into thin air.

Graphic recording is often used at conferences, keynotes, retreats, discussion forums, training events, focus groups and other meetings.

In addition to my graphic skills, I offer a background in education, experience delivering adult workplace training (including blended curriculum design and development) and broad knowledge of provincial public sector financial management practice. Based in beautiful Victoria, BC Canada, I serve clients throughout North America.
