I love to work with companies that are growing something – whether that is a new market or a new product, or just experiencing well-earned revenue growth! I am an organizational development consultant specializing in minimizing the struggle of growing.
After my MBA in Strategic Management (Wharton 1995), I consulted with one of the “Big 6” firms before all of that fell apart with the “Enron Awakening.” I was selected for the Merger team to help with the merger of Ernst & Young Consulting with its French purchasing firm, Cap Gemini. I served on the strategic consulting team that designed and implemented that merger (which really was an acquisition), in Paris. I stayed with Cap Gemini for a few years after the merger completed.
I discovered visual practice while I was still at CGEY, as I participated in strategic sessions that used graphic recorders. I found it fascinating and compelling, especially noticing how much more I absorbed and retained when a graphic recorder was working with a group. The facilitators and graphic recorders at that organization were (and are) top-notch, world-class practitioners.
Striking out on my own in 2002, I have been working with companies like Cingular Wireless, AT&T, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Premier Healthcare. I work both independently and as a subcontractor through Bridge Consulting International and The North Highland Company.
I am very excited about bringing visual practice to business processes and business change. I especially enjoy bringing my business background together with my visual thinking skills to facilitate change. I love working with large and small groups, designing interactive meetings that bring out the best contributions each person has to offer. I believe that if a session has the right people, the right support, and the right design, amazing things can happen – both during the session and after it.
