Emily's
goal is to help her clients get the most out of their meetings
and strategy sessions. Partnering with a facilitator or
consultant, Emily visually captures and synthesizes the
high level thinking of a group, using words, imagery and
metaphor. Working in real time, she creates a series of
large format charts that dynamically reflect the discussion
back to the participants, allowing them to see gaps, patterns
and possibilities.
She
brings twenty years of experience in the visual communication
field to her work. Her background as a graphic designer
allows her to easily create the underlying architecture
of a chart, so that the finished result shows a clear hierarchy
of information.
In
addition, Emily creates information graphics for organizations
murals, timelines or strategic illustrations that present
complex information in an accessible and engaging format.
Emily
is an excellent and flexible collaborator she can work
with the current internal or external facilitators on a
project, or she can bring in her own team. She has a core
network of business consultants with whom she frequently
partners. The specialty areas these consultants offer include
strategic planning and integration processes, initiative
planning, change management, and internal communication
solutions.
She
has a B.A. from Middlebury College, in Middlebury, VT, and
an M.F.A. from the California College of the Arts in Oakland,
CA.
